Come summer break, my husband and I always take a trip. Mostly we head for New Mexico where we have family. My husband loves to drive and again my camera works as my sketchbook. I am always struck by the specific sense of place in each locale. New places demand different responses which often juxtapose with my home work resulting in new depth and insight. Thus refreshing all my paintings.
